Galactic paradigm

Summarizes the main provisions of the Galactocentric paradigm [1], which links the cyclical nature of geological processes on the Earth with cosmic phenomena in the Galaxy and in the Solar system. It justifies a new vision of the nature and structure of spiral galaxies. On a uniform methodological basis of the proposed coordinated solution of some fundamental problems of astronomy and the Earth Sciences. Created the necessary framework for a close encounter of the geological and cosmic fields of knowledge.

13. Comets of the Solar system.

Before the discovery of the phenomenon of jet expiration of the question of the origin of comets of the Solar system remained highly controversial. Their properties are difficult to explain by capture of comets by the galactic origin of the Sun and the formation of small bodies in the Solar system. It is a mistake to consider them as coming from Oort comet cloud [94], which arose in the formation of the Solar system. In the interactions of the Sun with other stars or during its migration through the condensation of cosmic dust and gas cloud of such comets will inevitably cease to exist [95, 96]. Continue reading

The universe and stars

Millions, if not billions, of years, the universe was one huge hydrogen cloud that originated in a cataclysmic explosion. And inside of this cloud was something wonderful happened – due to shock waves from the big Bang to the cloud arose vortices of hydrogen. These huge clouds of hydrogen coalesced into “clots”. But over time more and more hydrogen is attracted in huge gas balls. Increasingly being warmed up and spinning, these balls, in the end, reached such high temperatures that broke out. Thus was born the first stars.

The universe created hydrogen. Hydrogen made stars. And the stars created the elements we need for life is calcium for our bones, the oxygen in the air… In the interior of stars hydrogen is converted into helium, which turns into carbon, then nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, iron… Everything we see around us was once inside a star, and every atom was formed inside a star. And everything on which to build life on Earth were formed inside stars – huge boilers, where cooks is the stuff of life.

The only problem is that these all formed in stars, chemical elements do not bring any benefit while they are inside the star. But, fortunately, from time to time, the stars explode! A huge star that exploded several billion years ago made it possible for our lives. Continue reading

Space travel reality

Space travel in reality. Learn the history of the highest feats and discoveries

On the territory of the Moscow Museum of cosmonautics, ENEA and the House-Museum of S. P. Korolev hosted the annual Space marathon. In its framework, anyone can visit the first Russian festival of documentary films about space Space Docfest-2015, to participate in the Olympics and take the quest called “Space flight”. I managed to go on a Space marathon the second day, April 11.

In anticipation of two celebrations of the cosmonautics Day and Easter is in spring Sunny day I went on a marathon Space in the Museum space. And when I walked into the Museum, we did not expect to see so many people! Had a lot of people, so I sometimes find it difficult pushed to the exhibits.

And how many kids! And I even felt uncomfortable. They are such a wild curiosity studied satellites, spacesuits, and each of them wanted to be in the capsule of Valentina Tereshkova. And immediately remembered himself at the same age, dreaming of flying into space. Continue reading

Halley’s comet was an alien from another star system

Astronomers have modeled the Oort cloud, which is considered as one of the main sources of comets. Studies have shown up to 90% of comets may be visitors from other star systems.

A group of astronomers from Canada, the U.S. and France came to the conclusion that a significant part of comets, including famous comet Halley, are objects from other star systems.

Scientists have modeled the so-called Oort cloud – a sphere of dust and particles of different sizes, down to small asteroids and cometary nuclei that surrounds the Solar system . From the received results follows, that the substance, which is at a considerable distance from the Sun, is not only the remnants of gas and dust disk from which the planets formed, but also partly borrowed from other star systems.

Beyond the orbit of Pluto, the Solar system does not end. Beyond Pluto lies a second belt of asteroids, the Kuiper belt – and he, in turn, is surrounded by a giant sphere of billions of comets. Beyond the Kuiper belt is like heliopause (the area where the stream of charged particles from the Sun collides with mezhzvezdnaya, in a sense, this is the limit of the Solar system) and the Oort cloud. Comets of the Solar system

A comet is a heavenly body of small dimensions, which consist of ice with flecks of dust and stone fragments. When approaching the sun the ice begins to evaporate, because the comet remains a tail, sometimes stretching for millions of miles. The tail of a comet consists of dust and gas.

The comet’s orbit

Generally, the orbit of most of the comet is an ellipse. However, rarely there are also circular and hyperbolic trajectories that move ice bodies in outer space.

Comets passing through the Solar system

Through the Solar system a lot of comets. Stop the most famous space Wanderers.

Comet rentals-Roland was first discovered by astronomers in 1957.

Halley’s comet passes near our planet in times of 75.5 years. Continue reading
