Tyumen state oil and gas University

There are exhibits on aviation history, the turbo motor – and rocket production in the region, highlights the unique authentic products of high-tech industries, playing a vital role in strengthening of defensibility of the country, and is largely provided by specialists of the Tyumen machine-building technical school, the Tyumen industrial Institute (TII)-Tyumen state oil and gas University.

The dominant feature of the room and its decoration were 8 unique products of motor factory: 7 engines and afterburner chamber for aircraft and missiles, which donated to the University of JSC “Tyumen engine manufacturers”.

On the perimeter and in the center of the hall there are large-scale original items: aircraft jet engine RU-19A-300, designed for aircraft type an-24, an-26, an-30; main engine 3C4M2 for self-propelled units SPU-2P24M1 anti-aircraft missile system “CIRCLE”; lifting and sustainer engine P27B-300 aircraft, deck-based YAK-38 vertical takeoff and landing on aircraft-carrying heavy cruisers; the combustion chamber of the engine AL21-F3 for SU-24 and MIG-29; the sustainer engine 3D83 anti-ship missiles “Mosquito”; 9D140 sustainer engine of the missile s-300V protivozdushnoy defense; marching short-resourceiterator CU-23 supersonic strategic cruise missile “METEORITE”; engine VD-100 for aircraft IL-114 and IL-114T.

Separate tablet exposure and complexes dedicated to the pilots, engineers, aircraft designers, whose fates are linked to the Tyumen region. It Balakshin A. S., mechanical engineer, power engineer, designer Hydrator-bin, founder of turbine machinery in the Urals; the Aviator A. A. Vasiliev, made the first flight over the Tumen (1912); the legendary pilot E. M. Lucht, who did a lot for aviation development of the Tyumen North.

An important place is occupied by the stands dedicated to the events in the region during the great Patriotic war 1941-45 presents material about evacuated to Zavodoukovsk plant No. 499, Director and chief designer of which was A. S. Moskalev, on trials in 1942 the first jet plane BI-1 with test pilot G. Ya. Bakhchivandzhi in Koltsovo, near the city of Sverdlovsk (now Ekaterinburg).

Also reflects the work of the design Bureau of Oleg Antonov (1906-1984) in Western Siberia and Tyumen (1941-1942). Shows the activities of the school of military pilots in Zavodoukovsk, where he studied under future cosmonauts Vladimir Komarov and L. S. Demin.

A worthy place in the Museum took the materials of the postwar period, especially during the opening and formation of the West Siberian oil and gas complex, where aviation often played a key role in solving many production problems. Presents complex authentic materials about pilots, helicopter pilots, Heroes of Socialist labour, made a huge contribution to the development of oil and gas resources of Tyumen North. Exhibited models of airplanes and helicopters.

Completes the exposition stand about accommodation in Tyumen district Bogandinsky base strategic missiles and 3 stand on the activities of the Tyumen motor factory OJSC “Tyumen engine manufacturers”.

In this hall you can see rare exhibits: the memorial address with the authentic signature of O. K. Antonov, pre-revolutionary editions of books about aviation, a “black box”, the head of self-guided missiles, such as the one that was shot down in 1960, reconnaissance aircraft powers over the city of Sverdlovsk, American radio, received in the years of the great Patriotic war on lend-lease, American desalination of sea water for military pilots, and many others. etc.
